CERTIFICATION, LEGALIZATION, AUTHENTICATION

CERTIFICATION
Each document that can be certified by the Certification Division at the USPTO has a different fee and turnaround time, as dictated by the USPTO fee schedule and process. Our fees will vary accordingly.
We have, however, a $35.00 minimum charge for each certification request.

LEGALIZATION
Each embassy operates under a different set of rules, regulations and guidelines with regard to legalization. Some embassies are able to complete the legalization process in 24 hours, others take as long as one week. Please contact each embassy directly for specific information regarding turnaround.
FEES
Fees charged by each embassy will vary. Please contact the embassy directly for fee information.
ADH Patent Services Fee: $150.00.
PLEASE NOTE:Some countries maintain regional consulate offices. In those instances the embassy in the District of Columbia may refuse to legalize documents that could, for example, be legalized at their embassy in New York or California. Please be sure that your documents require legalization in Washington, DC prior to shipment.
US STATE DEPARTMENT AUTHENTICATION
The Authentication Department at the US Department of State is open to the public from 8:30 am to 11:30 am weekdays, except Federal Holidays.
Walk-up (or same day) service is available.
If you forward your documents to us overnight for Authentication, please be aware that we will contact the Department of State on the business day following our receipt of those documents.
FEES
US Department of State: $6.00 per document.
ADH Patent Services: $75.00 per round trip to the State Department.
PLEASE NOTE:Please review your documents prior to submission to the Department of State to ensure that you have all necessary state level certifications. Approximately 20% of all documents submitted to the US Dept. of State are rejected because they lack the appropriate notarizations and or certifications on the state level.
